Out of PlaceWhile away on a late summer vacation, we returned to a dry lawn and a tomato plant thriving in the middle of it! Lee, Hudson, WI

Bird Feeding FunMara's Girl Scout Troop, from Bloomington, Minnesota assembled our Soda Bottle Bird feeders as a re-use and recycle project. They collected 2 liter soda bottles then assembled and filled the feeders and gave them as holiday gifts. You can bet the birds loved it too!
Ice FlakesSue found this "Bowl of Ice Flakes" glistening in the sun on the edge of the lake at her home in Northern Wisconsin. The wind must have blown the flakes around the vegetation poking through the ice and created a bowl!
Snowless Garden"Had I known there wasn't going to be a snow covering this winter, I would have done a better job of cleaning up my garden last fall!" claims Janie, LaCrosse Wisconsin. After near record snowfalls last winter, the Midwest is experiencing mild January temperatures and little to no snow!
